Ferne McCann fitness: TOWIE star shares high protein diet and exercise regime

Ferne McCann, 30, overhauled her fitness routine three years ago after the birth of her daughter Sunday. Since then, the former TOWIE star has been an advocate for keeping a healthy lifestyle.

Staying fit isn’t easy but Ferne explained it doesn’t need to be complicated.

The TV star changed her diet and fitness regime after her daughter Sunday, three, was born in November 2017.

Since then, she has shown off her impressive fitness results by posting snaps on Instagram.

As well as sharing tips on social media, she launched online fitness platform Embodyment which provides workout and nutrition plans which are tailored depending on goals.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Ferne opened up about the diet tips and tricks she follows right now.

Ferne’s diet plan

A balanced diet is key when trying to achieve a healthy lifestyle.

Ferne explained part of her balanced routine is to start the day with a shot of the probiotic symprove and apple cider vinegar.

She commented: “I wake up and have a shot of symprove mixed with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar followed by my Herbalife thermo tea and morning breakfast.”

Combining good nutrition with regular exercise is also important, Ferne stated.

DON’T MISS

She will keep her routine structured and make sure to have protein after a workout.

“I drop Sunday to nursery and exercise then have a protein shake within half an hour of exercising,” she added.

“I have a mid morning snack – this could be anything from a boiled egg, handful of nuts or a banana – then I will have a healthy lunch, such as a salad, wholemeal wrap or a soup.

“I have a mid-afternoon protein snack then I will cook dinner which could be anything. I am a proper foodie and love experimenting in the kitchen.”

On top of eating right, Ferne shared the importance of drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep.

“Having something that is flexible around being a parent and work is key, which is why my online fitness and wellbeing platform Embodyment fits perfectly into my busy life.

“It slots in around your kids as you can do it anywhere, anytime.”

Many people’s diet and exercise goals were forced to change this year due to the coronavirus pandemic and the UK’s national lockdown.

When trying to stay fit during a pandemic, Ferne said it is important to mix up workouts.

Speaking about her fitness routine, she revealed: “For me, to keep engaged I have to mix things up, from yoga, going for a walk, a HITT workout or dance workout. Variety is key.”
